Password Generating Facility

PLEASE NOTE: You are advised to makeup a password yourself that you can remember that follows the guidelines as specified in "Choosing a Good Password" below.
Your password should not be easily guessable and should not be a standard word that can be found in a dictionary. Details on good password selection can be found here. Please read this document.

Choosing a Good Password (external link)

However if you would to have a password generated for you then follow the instructions on using the makepasswd command below.

Log into unix:

How to Access Unix Services
Click Here for Staff Access/Login Instructions
Click Here for Student Access/Login Instructions

execute the following command:

makepasswd

Here is an example of makepasswd running

zz01@unix % makepassword
wp3MupB7l
